A much understated “state of being” is that of sisterhood. It is very hard for me to imagine my life without sisters. I finally understand so much more about what it means to be a sister, not only with my own siblings, but with many other women as well.
This very personal understanding was the inspiration that motivated me to create this wall hanging of “Sisters.” It is not an expression of a call to rally and unite in an “us versus them” – rather, my way of expressing and sharing a feeling unique among women, who know the energy and passion of sisters and of sisterhood.
It speaks to a specific kind of love; a love that never ends.
