Sybil the Wood Nymph

Sybil is posed in a state of reflection and contemplation. She knows in a sense that she has “lost her way”. But she still retains a deep inner knowing, that as she surrounds herself with the beauty of nature, she will be able to find a way to heal her current pain.

Sybil the Wood Nymph is in the middle of working through the “muck and the mire” of feeling the pain of being separated from her natural state of harmony with all of the surrounding beauty. By going into this self-reflection, she can suspend the crisis at hand long enough to gain a fresh perspective of her life.

The peace and tranquility without – becomes the peace and tranquility within. Sybil represents where I was in my own process of growing and changing at that time in my life.

Reflecting on the beauty of nature, was then and is now, a way for me to find my own inner peace and tranquility.
