Spirit of the Water

The love of my daughter is ever present when I sculpt. This flowing of love was especially evident as I worked on Spirit of the Water.

While Spirit of the Water is a grown woman, there still remains within her an innocent and childlike quality that speaks of her soul.

These qualities combine with a deep love of nature and the courage required in order to continue to believe in the goodness, truth and beauty of life. She knows that
this is who she is and will maintain the strength of her convictions – regardless of the ugliness in the world that is often given so much more focus and attention.

There is a deep and profound love within all of the forces of nature. I feel a strong sense of it with the nature spirits and “divas” of water. Perhaps it is the flowing of the water that equates within me the flowing of love – it brings forth within me a sense of peace and tranquility.
